Creating a Rule to delete spam in Outlook

Mail is scanned for spam by Eccentrix Wireless, if it detected to be spam the subject line is marked, and sent to the user.  As a user, you can choose to have this email automatically deleted off your machine before you look at it.  Eccentrix Wireless does not take any responsibility for email that is marked as spam and deleted by the customer.

We have three different tagging options that you can choose to filter.

·         {Definitely Spam?} – These messages are most likely spam and have triggered the spam filters with high marks

·         {Spam?} – These messages were triggered by the spam filters as spam, but are probably worth reviewing.

·         {Disarmed} – These messages have links that could possibly try and identify you.  These could possibly be legitimate emails (banks, online accounts, etc.)

Follow these rules to filter messages for Outlook Express

·         Open Outlook

·         Click on Tools -> Rules and Alerts

·         Choose “Deleted Items” folder

·         Your Rules Wizard box should now look similar to the following:

·         Click Next until you get to the screen to name the rule.  Choose a name for the rule and click Finish.

·         Click OK at the Rules and Alerts window and you are finished.
